The coveted Golden Hoop Award is presented to the dog and handler partnership who have displayed the highest level of consistency throughout all standard runs over a full day of competition. All dogs are entered automatically and it is drawn from all closing scores throughout all grades and sections. All dogs running for competition are eligible, except for those who have previously won 3 Golden Hoop Awards. Because the Golden Hoop is awarded based on consistency, it does not require dogs to have even won a class to receive the award, in fact it has previously been won by dogs who hadn’t placed in a single class all day but who had conquered each course as it was presented to them!
